Vijay's Kaavalan in trouble again

Ilayathalapthy Vijay is in trouble again! Recently, Tamil Nadu theatre owners and distributors unanimously decided to demand refund of a portion of the amounts they invested in Vijay’s 50th film Sura, since it bombed at the box office.

Now, since the actor has failed to fulfill this demand of the theatres owners, the Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners’ Association has decided to boycott his forthcoming film Kaavalan until an amicable settlement is reached. According to the theatre owners, Vijay has to pay 30% of the loss suffered by theatres, which approximately works out to Rs. 3 crores.

Vijay’s Kaavalan, directed by Siddique, is scheduled for a worldwide release on December 24, 2010.

Melody king mood out

Kaavalan is a film which has Vijay and Asin in the lead roles and is being directed by Siddique. This film is the remake of the Malayalam hit film Body Guard. This film was also directed by Siddique.

Vidhyasagar is composing the music for Kaavalan. Normally music composers who compose music for Vijay films will give importance to Kuthu songs than melody numbers. Then only Vijay will be satisfied. But Siddique has appreciated Vidhyasagar for composing a beautiful melody song. So Siddique had a plan to incorporate this song just before one reel of the climax.

But Vijay who knows the minds of his fans said that if there is a melody song at this point, the audience will leave their seats and go for a smoke. So he told that instead of this song, a Kuthu song can be there. But Siddique was not interested in Kuthu song.

He wanted the melody song. But both their ideas did not work out because the editor said that there is no need of a song.

Mitra says that she is the real pair of Vijay

Vijay has kept aside his formula like punch dialogues, Kuthu songs and ferocious fights and is acting as a silent romantic hero in the film Kaavalan. Now in order to disturb his peace there are two heroines in this film. One is Asin and another one is Kerala import Mitra. Mitra says that she has won Vijay in the contest.

Though this Cochin girl is new to Tamil she has already acted in six Malayalam films. Not only this, she has also acted as Nayanthara’s friend in Body Guard which is now being remade in Tamil with the title Kaavalan. In Tamil also she is donning the same role.

When she was asked about pairing with Vijay, she said,” I never expected this. There are thousands of fans for Vijay in Kerala. There are lots of fans for Vijay in the college in which I am studying. Whenever Vijay films are released here, they will also be released in Kerala on the same day. Because of this we will never miss his films.

What a big opportunity I got by pairing with Vijay. My friends are very eager to see this film. Many are asking me whether I am donning vamp role in this film. I am donning the role of the heroine’s friend. But I will have a deep love with Vijay in my heart. But at the appropriate time I will reveal my love to him. I will avoid mentioning my friend’s love to him. In that way I will make the hero my possession.

At that time I am the heroine. The climax after this will make me a vamp. Until then Asin is not the heroine. Only I am the heroine. My favourite heroes are Rajni, Kamal, Vijay and Surya.”

Interim stay on Kaavalan vacated

Kaavalan is a film which has Vijay and Asin in the lead roles. This film is directed by Siddique. The film is to be released during the month of December. Saravanan who has acquired the overseas rights had filed a petition in the Madras High Court. He had mentioned in that petition that the producer Romesh Babu has promised him overseas rights for an amount of Rs 5 Crores and also took an advance of Rs 1.5 Crores for him.

But Romesh Babu had sold the overseas rights to Sakthi Chidambaram of Cinema Paradise. So Saravanan had requested the Court to stay the release of this film. The Judge after going through Saravanan’s petition stayed the release of this film for 6 weeks. The Judge also ordered the producer and Sakthi Chidambaram to file a reply statement.

At this point the producer Romesh Babu, distributor Sakthi Chidambaram and Saravanan held talks and came to an understanding. They struck a compromise n They agreed to give Saravanan the color lab contract. Saravanan has agreed for this and informed the court regarding this. Judge Rajeshwar vacated the stay. So Sakthi Chidambaram who is releasing this film said,” The stay for the film Kaavalan has been vacated. The film will be released as per schedule.”

Three idiots is Nanban in Tamil and Three Rascals in Telugu

The Hindi hit film Three Idiots is being remade in Tamil and Telugu. The Hindi film Three Idiots had Amir Khan, Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor and Boman Irani in the cast. Gemini Film Circuit has acquired the remake rights of this film to be made in Tamil and Telugu. The film is to be directed by the magnificent director K Shankar. He is directing this film after the super duper hit film Endhiran which is still running in packed house.

The Tamil version of the Three Idiots has been titled as Nanban. This film has Vijay, Jeeva and Srikanth in the cast. Vijay is donning the role which Amir Khan did in the original version while Jeeva will do the role which Madhavan did and Srikanth will do the role of Sharman Joshi. Ileana is pairing with Vijay. Sathyaraj is donning the role of the professor which was done by Boman Irani.

The Telugu version will have Mahesh Babu in the cast. Ileana is doing the female lead roles. The Telugu version is titled as Three Rascals.

Melody song matter solved in Kaavalan

Kaavalan is a film which has Vijay and Asin the lead roles. This film is the remake of the Malayalam super hit film Body Guard which had Nayanthara and Dhilip in the lead roles. Siddique who directed the Malayalam film is also directing the Tamil version. Vidhyasagar has composed the music for this film.

He has composed a beautiful melody song for this film and Siddique wanted this song before one reel of the climax. But Vijay preferred a Kuthu song than the melody one. But Siddique insisted that the melody song.

But finally the editor sorted out this matter by saying that no song is needed at that point. But the latest news is that Asin and Vijay had danced for a melody song in the hill region of Poona.

But the unit members refused to say where this song will feature in the film. The film is to hit the screens in the month of December.

Ghajan speaks about mother’s affection

Mariyappan and Chandrasekar are producing a film titled Ghajan under the banner Sri Sastha Films. Sharan and Spoorthi are in the lead roles. Rajesh, Yuvarani, Singam Puli, Cool Suresh, Madan Bop and Jeeva are starring in this film.

Sanjana who donned the role of Sanusha’s sister in Renigunta is dancing for a song. Anand is handling the camera while Sabesh and Murali are composing the music for the lyrics penned by Muthulingam, Piraisudan and Bhaskar Doss.

The film is directed by Rajarajan. While speaking about this film, the director said,” There is nothing equivalent in the world to a mother’s affection. The film speaks about a man who comes in life because of mother’s affection.”

Vijay-Asin sizzling chemistry in Kavalan

Vijay and Asin have completed the shooting of Kaavalan and they are ready to set the screen on fire with their sizzling chemistry. Recently, they completed a song shoot in Lavasa, India’s first planned hill station. The movie will hit the theatres by next month.

Sources say that the entire crew of the film including choreographer Dinesh was very pleased with the performances of Vijay and Asin for the romantic number. The song shot at Lavasa will surely attract the audience, claims a source.

Vijay and Asin are pairing for the third time. Earlier, they were seen in Sivakasi and blockbuster Pokkiri. Kaavalan is directed by Siddique and produced by Ramesh Babu. The movie is said to be releasing on December 24, 2010.
