Sasikumar while speaking about this said,” Till the commencement of this film, I have never had the experience of night club. So cameraman Karthik, Samudrakani and I had been to a five star night club. But the security said that we cannot go inside without a girl friend or lover.

So we were disappointed. So we went in search of another pub. We were sitting there up to 11 pm. But there was no partying there. So since we had heard that the parties will begun only after midnight, we were waiting.

The waiter came and told us that they are going to close down the pub. We asked him whether there will be party. He replied that parties will be there only on Friday and Saturday and since this is Sunday, there will be no party. So this was also an experience.”

‘Easan is not based one particular incident in Chennai, but many’ – Sasikumar

EesanSasikumar has sharp details in all his films. Be his very debut directorial ‘Subramaniapuram’ or his other production ‘Pasanga’, he had something to touch on grounds of reality. This time, it will be better than his best. Yes, Sasikumar has jumped into a different ground of making his next film. It will not be a village based film as he focuses into the night life of Chennai.

Couple of songs and trailer screened during the audio launch of ‘Easan’ had raised some questions amongst the special invitees. During one of the pub songs, it is seen that a girl is being harassed by couple of guys in the pub. So is it based on the same incident that happened before few years in Chennai?

Ask Sasikumar and he says, ‘Not at all. It is not based on such an incident. But various incidents that has been shocking the city… I want to make it clear that the film is not only about the night life of Chennai, but it touches various grounds. Just as the audiences walk out of theatres, they will be shocked.’

With such a confident statement from Sasikumar, we can expect that he has something big in store for this time as well.
