Who is Bollywood's Rajnikanth?

The Rajinikanth phenomenon matters no age, language or geography barriers. His fans are here, there and every where on the planet called earth. But Rajini fever in Bollywood is worth a special mention.

Now that after Bollywood gave a standing ovation in awe to ‘Endhiran – the Robot’, has it found anybody matching Rajinikanth’s superstardom and charisma?

It is difficult yet to answer affirmatively now. But Kareena Kapoor feels there is one. She feels Salman Khan can be called the Rajinikanth of Bollywood given his mass appeal that defies all logic.

Kareena has said that Salman Khan is a phenomenon and a natural born actor whose all actions become a craze. “To me, he’s the Rajinikanth of Bollywood.” Kareena added.

It is interesting to note here that Salman Khan’s recent blockbuster film ‘Dabangg’ was hyped as a ‘Rajinikanth style film’ by the media and others for its down to earth logic defying heroism.

Chikku Bukku is a romantic journey

Chikku BukkuDirector Manikandan says that Chikku Bukku is story of a romantic journey. The film which has Arya, Shreya and Preethika Rao in the cast is being released this Friday. Manikandan while speaking about this film said,” The story of this film begins in London and ends in Karaikkudi.

The film is about two persons who meet in a journey. I have narrated this commercial story which has friendship, romance, anger and separation. Though this film is a romantic one, importance has been given for comedy. Arya- Shreya pair is so beautiful in this film.

It looks as if they are made for each other. The film’s highlight is the music. There are seven songs in this film. The music has been composed by Hariharan and Leslie.

Each song is of a different variety. Preethika Rao is the sister of the Bollywood actress Amirtha Rao. The heroine selection took place in Mumbai. Only after selecting Preethika, we came to know that she was the sister of Amirtha Rao. Her role in this film has much significance.”

He had earlier worked as an assistant to Arjun and Parameswar.

Nasar while speaking about this film said,” We listen to so many stories. But in only some films we have the inclination and interest to act in it. Maharaja is such kind of film. I have avoided many other films to act in this film. This film is about the cold war between the older generation and present generations because of a particular problem.

This film will make both the generations happier. This film will have stronger messages with commercial ingredients. I have donned the role of a person who dreams that he is a young person in spite of being old. This role will be an important one in my career.
