120 cameras used in 18 Vayasu shooting

120 still cameras have been used for shooting sequences for the film 18 Vayasu.18 Vayasu is a film being produced by S S Chakravarthy of Nic Arts. Johnny and Gayathri are in the lead roles. Panneerselvam is directing this film after Renigunta.

While speaking about this film, he said,” This film is about an 18 year old mentally retarded youth. Though many films have come like this, this film will be of a different dimension. We are introducing Priya who is donning a comedy role.

Journalist Krishna Davinci is donning an important role in this film. We have shot most of the scenes using 120 cameras. This is called Time Lines Shots. One or two shots of this kind were used in Anniyan and Boys. But we have shot eight sequences using this method. Shakthi has used this technique.

This will be a new experience for the audience. This is a challenging role for Johnny. Even before the release of this film Gayathri and music composers Dinesh and Charles Bosco are getting lots of offers. The film is being produced at a high cost by Chakravarthy. I am confident that this film will be a trend setter.”
