Radha Mohan says that Payanam is a film for one and all

Radha Mohan’s film like Azhagiya Theeye, Mozhi and Abhiyum Naanum have touched the human hearts. Radha while speaking said,” These films created an impression that Radha Mohan’s film will be very good.

But I felt that I should come out of this. I wanted to try my hands in other kind of films. That is why we began the action entertainer film Payanam.

This is totally a new thing for me. I started this film as it was my first film with nervousness, sensation and interest. Prakash Raj came forward to produce this film. We began Payanam and is now nearing completion. Everybody is linking this film with the Kandahar plane hijack incident. But this film is not about it. Kandahar incident is about releasing the terrorists.

There is no story for a film in this incident. In this film, a plane is hijacked. The plane is forced to land in Tirupathi. The passengers had to stay in the plane for five days.

The reality of the mental agony of the passengers, the powerful officials whose hands are tied in this matter, the media, the commandos who are entrusted with the job of retrieving the plane, the airport which is silent, politicians who are bound to answer and the relatives of the passengers who are shocked are narrated in a fantastic way.

There is suspense that will make the audience go to the seat’s edge. There is also comedy. Nagarjuna is donning the role of a commando while Prakash Raj dons the role of a government official. Both the roles will be a life time character for them.”
