An interview with Kamal Haasan

Kamal Haasan and Trisha are in the lead roles in the film Manmadhan Ambu which has been directed by K S Ravikumar. This film is produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin. A press meet was held on Saturday. During this press meet, Kamal gave an interview to the media.

How is it that you are so youthful even at the age of 56 years? Are you taking any herbal medicines?

We should not about age. If there is a thought that we should be young, we can be youthful. I eat three times like everyone. I don’t take any Thanga Paspam (Gold elixir). If I had that much gold I would have put that also in cinema.

Rajnikanth had acted in a high budgeted film Endhiran directed by Shankar. Will you also act in such kind of high budgeted film?

I don’t imitate any one. I have individuality. If I have any doubt in acting I will think about my mentor Shivaji Ganeshan. There are a lot of things to learn from him. Don’t compare Rajni with me. We ourselves don’t compare. We also decided not act together many years ago. Dasavatharam was a high budgeted film and similarly Manmadhan Ambu is also a high budgeted film.

Why was Manmadhan Ambu shot in a luxury cruise liner?

The story of the film is connected with the cruise ship. I am donning the role of an ex commando. The story demanded the ship.

What is the reason for Madhavan continuously acting in your films?

The reason is the friendship between us.

Is rehearsal necessary for cinema?

When rehearsal is required for a stage play which is being staged at a cost of Rs 5 Lakhs, is it not necessary for a film that is being produced at a cost of Rs 5o Crores. The rehearsal for cinema is not my invention. There was rehearsal during Modern Theatres days itself. There was a very big hall for rehearsals in the studio those days itself.

Will Kamal Haasan act in the films written by him?

I will act if the story written by anyone. If you have a good story, I am ready to act.

Vijayalakshmi says that she is bored with homely roles

Vijayalakshmi says that she is bored with homely roles. She while speaking to the media said,” I have done homely roles in all the films I have acted so far.

That is the mistake I have done. Because of this mistake there was a image that I am suitable for such roles only. Apart from this, I am bored doing these kind of homely roles.

To change this image I have decided to act in glamour roles. Because of this I have conducted a photo shoot. My idea is that once we have decided to act, we should be ready to act in any roles.

I will be acting in a Tamil film. Talks are going on regarding this.”

Lakshmi Rai says that she is busy

Lakshmi Rai who had acted in Tamil films was donning second heroine roles only. When Lakshmi Rai asked was asked that why she is getting in lesser Tamil films, she said,” It is not like at all.

In Tamil I am acting with Ajith in Mankatha and in the film directed by Raghav Lawrence. I am also having many Malayalam films in my hand.

Since I don’t have star status, I am very busy actress.”

Trisha refuses to do the role of a commercial sex worker

Trisha was offered a role of a commercial sex worker in a Telugu film and was also offered a heavy sum to act in this film. But Trisha refused to do this role. While speaking about this said,” The prostitute role is a challenging one.

It is not a easy thing to act in this role. That is why I refused to act in that film. I don’t have the maturity to do this role. If I do the role, it should be in such a way that no other actresses should have done it. All the actresses should be scared seeing my acting.

When I get that kind of boldness, I will act in such kind of roles. The film Manmadhan Ambu in which I had acted with Kamal is being released on 17th of this month. I was very scared and nervous when I had acted with Kamal because this is my first film with him. This film gave me a feel that as if I was acting in my first film.

I am very much eagerly expecting this film. There is nothing wrong in the rumors about the actors and actresses. It helps in the growth of the heroine. Because of this actors and actresses should not be worried. Some actresses have the habit of spreading rumors about themselves for publicity sake. I am not such kind a person.”

மதுவுக்கு அடிமையான மஞ்சுளா… விபச்சாரம் பற்றிப் பேச அருகதையில்லாத விஜயகுமார்! – மகள் வனிதா அதிரடி

அம்மா மஞ்சுளா மதுவுக்கு அடிமையாகிவிட்டவர் என்றும், அப்பா விஜயகுமார் விபச்சாரம் பற்றிப் பேசவே அருகதையில்லாதவர் என்றும் நடிகையும் அவர்களின் மகளுமான வனிதா கூறியுள்ளார்.

மேலும் விஜயகுமார் வீட்டில் நடந்த பல விஷயங்கள் குறித்தும் பகிரங்கப்படுத்தியுள்ளார.

என் முதல் கணவர் ஆகாஷுக்கு பிறந்த மகன் விஜய் ஸ்ரீஹரியை என் தந்தை விஜயகுமார் வீட்டில் விட்டு இருந்தேன். அவனை மீண்டும் அழைத்த போது தகராறு ஏற்பட்டது. குழந்தையை அனுப்ப மறுத்தனர். பிறகு போலீசாரை அழைத்து போய் கூட்டி வந்தேன். குழந்தையை அழைத்து வர தாய்- தந்தைக்கு உரிமை உண்டு.

கொலை செய்யவும் தயங்கமாட்டேன்…

என் குழந்தைக்கு விஜயகுமார் நிறைய தப்பான விஷயங்களை கற்று கொடுத்தார். அதனால் தான் அழைத்து வந்தேன். எனது குழந்தைக்கு ஆபத்து விளைவித்தால் கொலை செய்யவும் தயங்கமாட்டேன்.

என் மகனை நடிக்க வைக்க முயற்சித்தனர். அது எனக்கு பிடிக்கவில்லை. நான் குழந்தையாக இருந்தபோது பார்த்து தெரிந்த பல விஷயங்களை என் மகன் தெரிந்து கொள்ளக்கூடாது என்பதற்காகவே அவனை வலுக்கட்டாயமாக அழைத்து வந்தேன்.

எனது அம்மா மஞ்சுளா இப்போது சுயநினைவு இல்லாமல் இருக்கிறார். அவரை மதுப் பழக்கத்துக்கு அடிமையாக்கி விட்டனர். இப்போது அம்மாவுக்கு ஒரு கிரவுண்ட் நிலம்தான் உள்ளது. அம்மாவை மதுவுக்கு அடிமையாக்கி அவரது சொத்துக்களை அப்பா பறித்துள்ளார். அத்தனை சொத்துக்களும் அருண்விஜய் பெயரில் உள்ளன.

1986ல் அப்பா சொந்தமாக இரண்டு படங்கள் எடுத்து நஷ்டமடைந்தார். அதன்பிறகு படம் எதுவும் வரவில்லை. எனது அம்மாவுக்கும் அப்போது போதிய படங்கள் இல்லாததால் வருமானம் குறைந்தது.

திருட்டுத்தனமாக அமெரிக்கா… டாக்டருடன் தொடர்பு

பின்னர் முறையான ஆவணங்கள் இல்லாமல் அமெரிக்கா அம்மா சென்றார். அங்கு ஒரு டாக்டருடன் அம்மாவுக்கு பழக்கம் ஏற்பட்டது. அந்த டாக்டர் உதவியுடன் ஹோட்டல் ஒன்றைத் திறந்தனர். அந்த ஹோட்டலில், அப்பாவிடம் மேனேஜராக இருந்த குமாரின் தம்பி சாந்தக்குமாரை வேலைக்கு சேர்த்தனர்.

ஹோட்டலில் வருமானம் நன்றாக வருகிறது என்றவுடன், அப்பாவுடன் நாங்கள் குடும்பத்துடன் அமெரிக்கா சென்றோம். அங்கு என்னோட சகோதரி கவிதாவுக்கும், ஹோட்டலில் வேலை பார்த்த சாந்த குமாருக்கும் காதல் ஏற்பட்டது. அப்போது கவிதாவை தவறாகப் பயன்படுத்தினார்கள். இதனால் கவிதாவின் காதல் எங்கள் குடும்பத்தினருக்கு பிடிக்கவில்லை. ஒருநாள் சாந்த குமார் தீ விபத்தில் இறந்துவிட்டார் என்ற செய்தி மட்டும் வந்தது. ஆனால் அவர் எரிக்கப்பட்டார்.

பின்னர் சென்னை திரும்பியதும், நடிகர் எஸ்.எஸ்.ஆர். மனைவி விஜயகுமாரியின் உதவியுடன் கவிதாவுக்கு வேறு ஒரு இடத்தில் திருமணம் செய்து வைத்தனர்.

நாக்கு அழுகிடும்…

என்னைப் பற்றி விஜயகுமார் அவதூறாக பேசுகிறார். அப்படி பேச அவருக்கு தகுதி இல்லை. என்னைப் பற்றி குறை சொன்னால் நாக்கு அழுகி விடும். விஜய குமார் வீட்டில் நடக்கும் அக்கிரமங்களை பார்த்து வெறுத்துப் போனேன். வாழப்பிடிக்காமல் ஓடினேன். ஏழு வயதிலேயே தற்கொலைக்கு முயன்றேன்.

என் மூலமாக எந்தெந்த வழிகளில் வருமானம் வரும் என்றுதான் என் தந்தை பார்த்தார். சிறிய தொகை கொடுத்தாலும் போதும் என்று சொல்லி என்னை நடிக்க வைத்தார். அவர்கள் பிடியில் இருந்து தப்பிக்கவே திருமணம் செய்து கொண்டேன்.

ஆகாஷுடன் நடந்த திருமணத்தை தவறானது என்று சொல்ல மாட்டேன். அவரை விவாகரத்து செய்ததிலும் தவறு இல்லை. ஒரு பெண் 25 வயதில் தனியாக வாழ முடியாது. எனவேதான் இரண்டாம் திருமணம் செய்தேன்.

விஜயகுமார் வீட்டில் நடக்கும் அனைத்து விஷயங்களும் எனக்கு தெரியும். அது பாவப்பட்ட வீடு. அங்கு பல விஷயங்கள் செய்கின்றனர். அந்த வீடு எனக்கு தேவையில்லை.

நடிகைகள் விபசாரம் செய்கின்றனர் என செய்தி வந்தபோது விஜயகுமார் ஆவேசப்பட்டார். அப்படி கோபப்பட அவருக்கு எந்த அருகதையும் இல்லை.

எனது வீட்டில் பல விஷயங்கள் நடந்தன. என் அம்மா சொன்ன விஷயங்களை நான் செய்ய வில்லை. வீட்டில் நடந்த விஷயங்களை நான் மட்டும்தான் எதிர்த்து கேட்டேன். என்னை அடைத்து வைத்து அடித்து உதைத்தனர். நான் தைரியமாக எதிர்த்து நின்றதால் யாருக்கும் என்னை பிடிக்கவில்லை. நான் நல்ல பெண்ணாக இருந்ததால் அவர்கள் சொல்வதற்கு முடியாது என்று தீர்க்கமாக பதில் சொன்னேன். அதனால் நிறைய பிரச்சினைகள் வந்தன…

ஸ்ரீதேவி விவகாரம்…

ஸ்ரீதேவியை 2 வயதிலேயே நடிக்க வைத்து விட்டனர். ஸ்ரீதேவியை படிக்க வைக்கவில்லை. ஸ்ரீதேவிக்கு எதிர்பார்த்ததுபோல படங்களிலும் வாய்ப்பு வரவில்லை. ஆகையால் அவருக்கு திருமணம் செய்ய படாதபாடுபட்டார்கள்.

அவர்களுக்கு பணம் சம்பாதிக்க வேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணம் மட்டுமே இருந்தது. பிள்ளைகளின் சந்தோஷம், விருப்பம், வாழ்க்கை போன்றவைகளை அவர்கள் கண்டுகொள்ளவில்லை. படம் படம் என அம்மா பிஸியாக இருந்தார்.

அப்பா தற்போது இருக்கும் வீட்டை நான் பறிக்க முயற்சி செய்வதாக குற்றம் சாட்டுகிறார். அந்த வீட்டில் என்ன நடந்தது என்பதை நான் சின்ன வயதில் இருந்தே பார்த்தவள். அங்கு நடக்க கூடாது எல்லாம் நடந்தது. அந்த வீட்டில் நான் பார்த்ததை என் மகன் பார்க்கக் கூடாது. நீதி கிடைக்கும் வரை போராடப்போகிறேன்.

என் மகன் நாளைய கமல்ஹாஸன்…

எங்களைப் படிக்க வைக்காத அப்பா, எப்படி என் மகன் ஸ்ரீஹரியை படிக்க வைப்பார். ஸ்ரீஹரியை சினிமாவில் நடிக்க வைத்து பணம் சம்பாதிக்க அப்பா முயற்சி செய்கிறார். ஸ்ரீஹரி திறமையானவன். அவனை இழக்க நாங்கள் விரும்பவில்லை. சினிமாத்துறையில் நாளைய கமலஹாசனாக அவன் வருவான்,” என்றார்.

வனிதா கணவர் ஆனந்தராஜ் கூறுகையில், “விஜயகுமார் வீடு பாவப்பட்ட வீடு. ஹரிக்கும் பிள்ளைகள் இருக்கிறது. அந்த வீட்டில் தனது பிள்ளைகளை ஹரி தங்க வைப்பாரா?” என்றார்.
